Pear Chudesnitsa is a new variety developed specifically for Central Russia. In the mid-2000s, gardeners first began to grow this fruit tree in the Leningrad and Voronezh regions. Then this variety appeared in the dachas of the Moscow region and quickly took root, having proven itself from the best side with a rich harvest. After that, the pear variety spread to the former republics of the USSR: Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus and even Kazakhstan.

Variety history

A pear called Miracle is the result of hybridization of two different varieties. For crossing, they used the Daughter of Dawn, which brings a high yield and having small fruits, and a frost-resistant pear, in which the elongated amber-colored fruits are Talgan beauty. For a long time, scientists could not achieve the desired results, but after a couple of years of painstaking efforts, the pear variety lived up to their expectations.

Pear Miracle: variety description

In appearance, the Miracle Woman resembles the fruits of the Talgan beauty. Pears grow elongated, large in size, weighing 130-200 g. In rare cases, small fruits are found, but even then, due to improper care. A wax coating is clearly visible on the smooth skin of the pear.

Important! During the ripening period, the pear acquires an emerald green color. After long-term storage, it changes, and the fruits turn yellow, a slight blush of a red-pink hue appears on the sides.

On the cut of the fruit, the pulp is milky-creamy, juicy and semi-oily. The pear tastes sweet with a slight sourness. Ripe fruits do not have astringency, they are saturated with aroma with floral notes.

Pear Miracle

The tasters rated the fruit 4.3 points. The miracle is ideal for homemade preparations (making jam, marshmallow, compotes, jams). In addition, this variety has been grown on an industrial scale for more than 10 years, sending fruits for export abroad.

The pear contains sugars in an amount of 9-9.6% and ascorbic acid (7-8 mg per 100 g).

The Miracle has small brown seeds. The peduncle is slightly curved, but strong. With the help of it, the fruits last for a long time and do not fall, so gardeners will not have problems with a carrion - there is practically none.

Most often, the tree grows medium-sized up to 3 m.

This pear variety is considered winter and has a mixed type of fruiting. It does not require other species as pollinators, but their presence will be helpful.

Advantages and disadvantages of the variety

The Wonderful pear variety, like many other pear species, has its own advantages, thanks to which summer residents plant it:

  • High frost resistance is one of the main indicators of a fruit plant. The pear can withstand frosts down to -38 ° C, and therefore the variety is grown by many in the northern regions of Russia (the Leningrad region and the Urals).
  • Resistant to many fungal diseases (scab, powdery mildew).
  • Ripe pears grow large and beautiful.
  • The harvested fruits do not spoil for a long time. Stores well in the refrigerator and cellar. The miracle girl pleases gardeners almost until the last months of winter.
  • High productivity.

The main disadvantage of the tree is considered to be too growing crown. It is pyramidal in shape with a large number of shoots growing in different directions. Therefore, the tree needs regular and careful pruning. If you skip at least one procedure, then due to the strong thickening of the crown, the fruits will lose their shape, they will be small and not as juicy as stated in the description.

Pruning the Miracle is recommended in the fall. Overgrown branches must be removed with pruning shears to the base. Moreover, experienced gardeners do not recommend cutting more than a quarter of the crown at a time. It is better to divide the pruning into several stages. On each skeletal branch, it is enough to leave 2-3 shoots, which will bear fruit for the next year. The trimmed areas must be lubricated with garden varnish or varnish-based paint in order to avoid getting into the wounds of infections, of which there are a great many in the garden.

Important! After correct pruning, it is easier to approach the tree, preventive work to combat pests and diseases will not be difficult, and it is more convenient to harvest.

Planting pears

To buy a seedling of the Wonderful variety, you can go to a nursery or a specialized store. Also, in the fall, garden fairs are often held in many cities, where it is possible to purchase decent specimens. For planting, it is recommended to choose a one or two year old tree. It is advisable to inspect it in advance when buying: there should be no rot and other lesions on the trunk and roots (if the root system is open). If the seedling is purchased in a pot, then it can be planted at any warm season. No shelter is required for the winter.

The Wonderful variety is unpretentious in cultivation. You don't need black soil to plant a fruit tree - it will grow anywhere. The main thing is to make drainage in the planting pit to drain excess moisture so that the pear roots do not rot. Broken bricks, gravel, crushed stone, dry large branches are suitable for these purposes.

Planting a pear miracle

The ideal place for planting pears is an area with good lighting, without strong winds and drafts.

Important! The tree does not need abundant watering. Enough 2-5 times for the entire growing season. The latter is carried out in late autumn before frost, so that the tree can better endure the upcoming subzero temperature.

At the planting pit, the dimensions should not exceed 70 cm by 1 m.An infertile layer of earth is removed from the bottom of the hole, drainage is made at the bottom. Organic and mineral fertilizers are added to the fertile soil. After partial filling, a small amount of water is poured in so that the soil subsides.

Important! In no case should rotted manure be added to the planting hole, as it will burn the roots of the tree.

A week after preparing the hole, you can plant a pear. The tree is evenly set in the pit, the roots are spread and covered with earth, slightly tamping. After it is watered abundantly. Enough 1 bucket of water for 1 seedling. It is recommended to mulch the near-stem circle so that moisture remains in the soil longer. For these purposes, straw, wood shavings, dry grass are suitable.

Important! The mulch will not grow so much weeds, which like to take nutrients from the soil from the plant.

Pests and diseases

The Wonderful variety is resistant to fungal diseases. Gardeners note that the tree is not affected by rust and scab.

As for insects, in rare cases, the culture is spoiled by a pear sap, leaving behind a re-grinded crop in mucus. It is found on leaves as well as tree stems. With the appearance of insects on the tree, the fruits become small, their original pleasant taste, seemingly unattractive, disappears.

In the fight against the parasite, you should think in advance about preventive treatments in the spring. There is one good home remedy that does an excellent job of removing copperhead from the garden for a long time. The drug is easily prepared from improvised means, so gardeners cope on their own, without resorting to buying "chemicals" in stores.

To prepare the product, you will need the following ingredients:

  • kerosene;
  • laundry soap;
  • hot water.

Dissolve 40 g of laundry soap in water (2 l). Stir the components until the soap is completely dissolved in water. Then add 80 g of kerosene to the liquid. All ingredients are also mixed until completely dissolved. The mixture should stand for half an hour. After that, mix the resulting solution in 10 liters of water at room temperature and spray the trees. With this tool, you can process not only the Miracle pear, but all fruit trees in the garden.

Important! After treatment with this miracle remedy with kerosene, not a single pest will creep up / fly up to the pear garden all summer. It is advisable to repeat the procedure annually.

That's all about the characteristics of the pear variety. Wonderful! If the gardener follows all the rules for planting and caring for the tree described above, then the fruit crop will give in return a large harvest, from which you can not only make twists for the winter, but also earn decent money.
