The apple-tree of the Uspenskoe variety is a hybrid (popularly affectionately - Uspenochka), obtained by the All-Russian Research Institute of Genetics and Breeding named after V.I. IV Michurin at the very end of the last century by crossing the varieties Prima and Bessemyanka Michurinskaya. Already in 2004, he passed state tests. The hybrid is zoned for the southern part of Central Russia, grows well and ripens in the Middle and South Urals. According to the agronomic description, the Uspenskoe apple tree has no varieties.

The variety is autumn, the period of removable ripeness is the second decade of September, but the mass harvest begins in the second half of August. The tree begins to bear fruit in the 5th year.

The Uspenskoe apple tree belongs to medium-sized, i.e. the standard height is limited to 2-3 m with a crown diameter of one and a half to two meters. The crown is spreading, but compact, average density. Skeletal branches with gray bark are almost perpendicular to the trunk. Fruits are formed on ringlets, spears, annual shoots. Shoots of medium length, without curvature, rounded in cut. Their bark is gray-brown with slight pubescence. The leaves are elongated, with a characteristic twisted end, the veins are delicate. The flowers are pale pink, large, petals are adjacent.

Table fruits, large, 180-200 g, less often - up to 250 g, the same size. The apples are oval-rounded. The uniform yellowish-green color is diluted with a ruddy, orange-red flank with a smooth transition to the main color. The skin is smooth, shiny, no waxy coating. The pulp is white, tender, with a sweet and sour taste and abundant juice.

Planting and caring for Uspenochka is carried out according to the general rules of agricultural technology for apple crops. There are some varietal characteristics:

  • The dimensions of the planting pit: depth 70, diameter 80 cm. Scheme: the distance between trees in a row is 3 m, between the rows they stand 5 m.
  • Annual pruning. The first formation is carried out in the year of planting.

Note! The unbranched trunk of an annual seedling is crowned (pruned) to stimulate its branching. Shoots are shortened for two-year-old seedlings. For the correct formation of the crown, bending the branches or stretching them is used.

Uspenochka bears fruit regularly, the fruits retain their presentation and transportability for a long time. The variety is completely resistant to scab at the genetic level, it is characterized by high winter hardiness.

Additional Information! During the State tests of the Uspenskoe apple tree, they were artificially frozen to −40 °, without damaging the bark and cambium. The degree of frost damage to buds, growth and fruit, was estimated at 0.5 points.

The disadvantages include a relatively short shelf life - no more than 2.5 months. and a tendency to shedding fruit when overripe.
