There are many reasons why seeds do not germinate well. Here there can be a thick shell, and poor-quality soil, and low-grade varieties. In any case, experienced gardeners have long come up with more than a dozen life hacks that work well. Here is just a small list of them:
Growth activator
The correct solution is to soak the seeds before planting, because this will help activate all biological processes. Consequently, a positive result will not be long in coming.
Compost infusion
In simple terms, this is the same growth activator, only made independently. As a rule, molasses, leavened wort, chlorine-free water and, of course, dry compost are used for its production.
Vodka
This method helps to speed up the seed germination process at times. You need to soak them in an alcohol-containing liquid, and then rinse thoroughly with running water.
Natural blends
For these purposes, mushroom infusion, honey, potato juice or aloe are perfect. All this will help even the tightest seeds to wake up.
Thermos
If the gardener does not want to take risks and put seeds in incomprehensible liquids, then you can use a simple advice - soak them in water in a thermos. True, here you will have to experiment with the temperature regime. Hot water will certainly awaken them by removing the oily shell from their surface.
Warm water
If a thermos is not at hand, then you can try a method based on cooling water. The seeds are immersed 3-4 times a day in a container with hot water, which cools down on its own. So all unnecessary substances are removed from the seeds, which inhibit the process of their ascent.
Contrast temperatures
Many gardeners have noticed that temperature contrast has a beneficial effect on growth. So, you can first dip them in ice water, and then in boiling water.
Seed stratification in the snow
It's the same temperature game. It's just that instead of cold water, they are kept in the snow.
Refrigerated Stratification
If it is not possible to keep the seeds in the snow, then an ordinary refrigerator can come to the rescue. To do this, you need soil and the bottom shelf of the camera. The main thing here is to periodically ventilate the container to prevent mold formation.
Battery
In addition to cold, the germination of seeds can be affected by heat. Here you don't need to go far for the source, the process can be carried out directly on the battery.
Toilet cistern
No matter how strange this method may seem, it is still effective. The seeds are placed in a small canvas bag and sent to a waste tank. With each flushing and recruitment of new water, the seeds will be filled with oxygen, which will favorably affect their growth.
Compressor
If the toilet cistern method seems unaesthetic, then you can do the same with just the dishes and an aquarium compressor.
Sand
Another good method is to place the seeds in a container of sand and stir them frequently.
