Agrotechnics
In principle, Samara's cultivation technology is traditional. To grow this hybrid in a greenhouse and get a high yield, you need to pay attention to several nuances in planting and caring for it.
- Landing. The recommended planting scheme provides for the observance of the distance between adjacent seedlings 40 cm and a row spacing of 60 cm.
- Care. The main requirements in care - watering, regulation of humidity and temperature conditions, the frequency of fertilization, are no different from those common for tomatoes. Particular attention should be paid to the formation of bushes. They can be grown in one or two stems. In the first case, all extra shoots must be removed in a timely manner and only the main stem should be left, and in the second, the strongest and healthiest lateral shoot should be left.
- Since this hybrid belongs to an indeterminate variety of tomatoes, when the stem reaches the trellis, it is perched - limiting the growth point. You just need to pinch the tops with your fingers. In addition, it is necessary to normalize the number of ovaries on the hands: it is recommended to leave no more than 6-8 pieces on them.
Advantages and disadvantages
The advantages of Samara include:
- versatility of use: can be consumed fresh, used for whole-fruit canning (fruits do not crack) and for making tomato juices;
- taste and appearance of fruits;
- high rates of keeping quality and transportability;
- the duration of fruiting;
- high productivity.
The main disadvantage of Samara is the growing time - despite the fact that this tomato has an early fruiting period, it can be planted only in the spring and summer. The variety is not suitable for late plantings.
